AFL Draftees
Rupertswood Football Club have produced many
outstanding junior footballers who represented the RDJFL
and some have gone to play for the Calder
Cannons in the elite TAC Cup under
18 competition. Some of these have included Eric Dressler, Jeff Heath,
Leigh Brennan, Matt West and Partrick Clarke. This year, we have two players in
the Cannons squad who have been selected in the Victorian Metropolitan u18
representative squad Matt Little and Jesse D Smith. We currently have two
players on AFL lists, James Kelly who has gone on to forge a place in the
Geelong side as a running midfield and Brad Murphy, who has been performing well
in with Werribee which should lead to a senior games for the Dogs into the not
too distant
future.
